Art. 102 Data collection for the purpose of identification and determining age

1The com­pet­ent au­thor­it­ies may or­der the col­lec­tion of bio­met­ric data in or­der to de­term­ine the iden­tity of a for­eign na­tion­al when veri­fy­ing entry re­quire­ments and in pro­ced­ures con­cern­ing for­eign na­tion­als.

1bisIf there are in­dic­a­tions that an al­leged for­eign minor has reached the age of ma­jor­ity, the com­pet­ent au­thor­it­ies may ar­range an ex­pert re­port on that per­son's age.2

2The Fed­er­al Coun­cil shall de­term­ine which bio­met­ric data is col­lec­ted in ac­cord­ance with para­graph 1, and shall reg­u­late the ac­cess to this data.3
