Art. 23 Procedure for recording data and providing information

1 The Fed­er­al Coun­cil shall reg­u­late how pro­viders of tele­com­mu­nic­a­tions ser­vices must re­cord the data pur­su­ant to Art­icle 21 para­graph 1 let­ter a and Art­icle 22 para­graph 2 first sen­tence.

2 It shall reg­u­late the form and re­ten­tion of in­form­a­tion re­quests.

3 It may provide that the data re­ferred to in Art­icles 21 and 22 be made ac­cess­ible on­line at all times to the au­thor­it­ies re­ferred to in Art­icle 15.42
