Art. 21 VET schools

1 VET schools shall be re­spons­ible for the classroom in­struc­tion seg­ment of VET pro­grammes, which cov­ers both vo­ca­tion­al and LCS sub­jects.

2 VET schools shall have an in­de­pend­ent edu­ca­tion man­date to do the fol­low­ing:

a.
help learners to de­vel­op their per­son­al­ity and so­cial skills as they at­tend les­sons on vo­ca­tion­al and LCS sub­jects;
b.
help learners to de­vel­op their par­tic­u­lar tal­ents and of­fer spe­cial courses that take ac­count of the needs of both spe­cially tal­en­ted per­sons and per­sons with learn­ing dif­fi­culties;
c.
design VET pro­grammes in such a way as to pro­mote true gender equal­ity and dis­cour­age dis­crim­in­a­tion against people with dis­ab­il­it­ies.

3 At­tend­ance of VET school courses is man­dat­ory.

4 VET schools may also or­gan­ise both pro­fes­sion­al edu­ca­tion and job-re­lated CET courses.

5 VET schools may work with pro­fes­sion­al or­gan­isa­tions and com­pan­ies to or­gan­ise branch courses or sim­il­ar third-party train­ing courses for the ad­di­tion­al train­ing seg­ment of VET pro­grammes.

6 VET schools may handle co­ordin­a­tion activ­it­ies for the pur­pose of en­abling the vari­ous VET par­ti­cipants to work to­geth­er.
