Art. 24

1 The Can­tons shall be re­spons­ible for over­all su­per­vi­sion of VET pro­grammes.

2 Su­per­vis­ory activ­it­ies shall com­prise the pro­vi­sion of guid­ance and sug­ges­tions to parties to the ap­pren­tice­ship con­tract as well as over­all co­ordin­a­tion between the VET par­ti­cipants.

3 Su­per­vis­ory activ­it­ies shall also in­clude the fol­low­ing:

a.
en­sur­ing the qual­ity of work­place train­ing, in­clud­ing branch courses or sim­il­ar third-party train­ing courses;
b.
en­sur­ing the qual­ity of the classroom in­struc­tion seg­ment of VET pro­grammes;
c.
mon­it­or­ing ex­am­in­a­tions and oth­er qual­i­fic­a­tion pro­ced­ures;
d.
en­sur­ing that ap­pren­tice­ship con­tracts are in line with stat­utory pro­vi­sions;
e.
en­sur­ing that con­tract­ing parties abide by the terms of their ap­pren­tice­ship con­tracts.
4 If a joint re­quest is made by edu­ca­tion and train­ing pro­viders and the learners, the Can­tons shall de­cide on the fol­low­ing mat­ters:
a.
val­id­a­tion of non-form­al learn­ing un­der Art­icle 17 para­graph 5;
b.
cases re­ferred to in Art­icle 18 para­graph 1.
5 With­in the frame­work of their su­per­vis­ory activ­it­ies, the Can­tons may:
a.
claim back all or part of the fed­er­al fund­ing giv­en to the third parties re­ferred to in Art­icle 52 para­graph 2 sen­tence 2;
b.
ter­min­ate an ap­pren­tice­ship con­tract.
