Art. 46 Teachers responsible for classroom instruction and preparing learners for the FVB examination

(Art. 46 VPETA)

1 The fol­low­ing re­quire­ments must be met by teach­ers re­spons­ible for classroom in­struc­tion and pre­par­ing learners for the FVB ex­am­in­a­tion:

a.
com­pleted vo­ca­tion­al ped­agogy train­ing at a high­er edu­ca­tion in­sti­tu­tion;
b.
ob­tained a ter­tiary-level de­gree in a spe­cial­ised field;
c.
have six months of work ex­per­i­ence.

2 The fol­low­ing re­quire­ments must be met in or­der to teach vo­ca­tion­al sub­jects with­in the frame­work of a VET pro­gramme:

a.
a ter­tiary-level qual­i­fic­a­tion, wheth­er it be a pro­fes­sion­al qual­i­fic­a­tion or a high­er edu­ca­tion qual­i­fic­a­tion;
b.
suc­cess­ful com­ple­tion of vo­ca­tion­al ped­agogy train­ing cov­er­ing a total of:
1.
1800 learn­ing hours for full-time teach­ers,
2.
300 learn­ing hours for part-time teach­ers.
3 The fol­low­ing re­quire­ments must be met in or­der to teach LCS sub­jects, sport or courses in fields for which high­er edu­ca­tion stud­ies are re­quired:
a.
ob­tained a teach­er’s cer­ti­fic­ate for com­puls­ory edu­ca­tion, a teach­er’s cer­ti­fic­ate for LCS sub­jects or sport edu­ca­tion (in ac­cord­ance with train­ing plan for VET pro­gramme), and vo­ca­tion­al ped­agogy train­ing cov­er­ing a total of 300 learn­ing hours; or
b.
ob­tained a bac­ca­laur­eate school teach­er’s cer­ti­fic­ate and suc­cess­fully com­pleted vo­ca­tion­al ped­agogy train­ing cov­er­ing a total of 300 learn­ing hours; or
c.
suc­cess­fully com­pleted cor­res­pond­ing high­er edu­ca­tion stud­ies as well as vo­ca­tion­al ped­agogy train­ing cov­er­ing a total of 1800 learn­ing hours.20
