Art. 40 VET professionals

(Art. 45 para. 3 and 46 para. 2 VPETA)

1 In­di­vidu­als who provide work­place train­ing or classroom in­struc­tion with­in the frame­work of VET pro­grammes must have an ad­equate level of train­ing, as de­term­ined by the min­im­um re­quire­ments un­der Art­icles 44–47. This level of train­ing shall be at­tested by means of:

a.
a fed­er­ally is­sued or re­cog­nised de­gree; or
b.
a cer­ti­fic­ate for work­place train­ers who have un­der­gone a 40-hour course.

2 In­di­vidu­als who do not meet the min­im­um re­quire­ments at the time they be­gin to carry out their activ­it­ies must ob­tain the cor­res­pond­ing qual­i­fic­a­tions with­in five years.

3 The can­ton­al au­thor­it­ies shall, after con­sult­ing with the pro­viders of the cor­res­pond­ing edu­ca­tion and train­ing pro­gramme, de­cide on tech­nic­al equi­val­ences of in­di­vidu­al VET pro­fes­sion­als.

4 For spe­cif­ic oc­cu­pa­tions, min­im­um edu­ca­tion and train­ing re­quire­ments may be high­er than those es­tab­lished by this Or­din­ance. These re­quire­ments shall be es­tab­lished in cor­res­pond­ing VET or­din­ances.
