Art. 119a Transplant medicine

1The Con­fed­er­a­tion shall le­gis­late in the field of or­gan, tis­sue and cell trans­plants. In do­ing so, it shall en­sure the pro­tec­tion of hu­man dig­nity, pri­vacy and health.

2It shall in par­tic­u­lar lay down cri­ter­ia for the fair al­loc­a­tion of or­gans.

3Any dona­tion of hu­man or­gans, tis­sue and cells must be free of charge. The trade in hu­man or­gans is pro­hib­ited.
