Art. 48a Security 169

1 Tele­com­mu­nic­a­tions ser­vice pro­viders shall take ac­tion against the un­au­thor­ised ma­nip­u­la­tion of tele­com­mu­nic­a­tions in­stall­a­tions by tele­com­mu­nic­a­tions trans­mis­sions. They are en­titled to reroute or block con­nec­tions and to sup­press in­form­a­tion in or­der to pro­tect the in­stall­a­tions.

2 To pro­tect against haz­ards, avoid dam­age and min­im­ise risks, the Fed­er­al Coun­cil may is­sue pro­vi­sions on the se­cur­ity of in­form­a­tion and of tele­com­mu­nic­a­tions in­fra­struc­tures and ser­vices, in par­tic­u­lar in re­la­tion to:

a.
avail­ab­il­ity;
b.
op­er­a­tion;
c.
se­cur­ing re­dund­ant in­fra­struc­tures;
d.
re­port­ing in­ter­fer­ence;
e.
tra­cing pro­cesses;
f.
rerout­ing or block­ing con­nec­tions and sup­press­ing in­form­a­tion in ac­cord­ance with para­graph 1.
