Art. 24 Admission to universities of teacher education

1 Ad­mis­sion to the first level of stud­ies at uni­versit­ies of teach­er edu­ca­tion is open to hold­ers of a bac­ca­laur­eate.

2 Ad­mis­sion to the first level of stud­ies for those wish­ing to teach at pre-school and primary school level is open to hold­ers of a bac­ca­laur­eate or a spe­cial­ised bac­ca­laur­eate in ped­agogy or, un­der cer­tain con­di­tions, a Fed­er­al Vo­ca­tion­al Bac­ca­laur­eate; the High­er Edu­ca­tion Coun­cil es­tab­lishes the re­quire­ments.

3 They may grant ad­mis­sion to the first level of stud­ies on the basis of equi­val­ent pri­or edu­ca­tion and train­ing. For qual­ity con­trol pur­poses, the High­er Edu­ca­tion Coun­cil is­sues guidelines on equi­val­ency un­der the terms of the Co­oper­a­tion Agree­ment.
