¹ The stat­ute of lim­it­a­tions for and the ex­tinc­tion of a claim are gov­erned by the law ap­plic­able to the claim.

² In the event of ex­tinc­tion by set-off, the ap­plic­able law is that gov­ern­ing the claim against which set-off is as­ser­ted.

³ Nova­tion, re­lease and set-off agree­ments are gov­erned by the pro­vi­sions of this Act re­lat­ing to the law ap­plic­able to con­tracts (Art. 116 et seq.).
