¹ If a per­son has one or more for­eign cit­izen­ships in ad­di­tion to Swiss cit­izen­ship, jur­is­dic­tion based on cit­izen­ship is de­term­ined by ref­er­ence to Swiss cit­izen­ship only.

² If a per­son has more than one cit­izen­ship, the cit­izen­ship of the state with which such per­son is most closely con­nec­ted is ex­clus­ively rel­ev­ant in de­term­in­ing the ap­plic­able law, un­less this Act provides oth­er­wise.

³ If re­cog­ni­tion of a for­eign de­cision in Switzer­land de­pends on a per­son’s cit­izen­ship, it is suf­fi­cient to take in­to con­sid­er­a­tion one of such per­son’s cit­izen­ships.
