on Air Pollution Control (OAPC)

¹ The fol­low­ing com­bus­tion in­stall­a­tions are only to be placed on the mar­ket if their con­form­ity with the re­quire­ments spe­cified in An­nex 4 has been demon­strated (Art. 20a):

a.

forced draught burn­ers for «ex­tra light» heat­ing oil or gas with a rated thermal in­put of up to 350 kW;

b.

boil­ers for forced draught burn­ers as spe­cified in let­ter a, provided that the heat car­ri­er is wa­ter and the shut-off tem­per­at­ure of the safety tem­per­at­ure lim­iter does not ex­ceed 110 °C;

c.

boil­ers as spe­cified in let­ter b in­ten­ded to be equipped with forced draught burn­ers (units);

d.²³

gas-fired boil­ers with a rated thermal in­put of up to 350 kW, provided that the heat car­ri­er is wa­ter and the shut-off tem­per­at­ure of the safety tem­per­at­ure lim­iter does not ex­ceed 110°C;

dir­ect gas-fired stor­age wa­ter heat­ers (boil­ers) con­tain­ing more than 30 litres of wa­ter and with a rated thermal in­put of up to 350 kW;

g.

gas-fired in­stant­an­eous wa­ter heat­ers with a rated thermal in­put of 35 kW to 350 kW;

boil­ers fired by sol­id fuels as spe­cified in An­nex 5 with a rated thermal in­put of up to 350 kW and pel­let burn­ers for small boil­ers with a rated thermal in­put of up to 70 kW.

³ The can­tons may al­low prac­tic­al test­ing of a lim­ited num­ber of in­stall­a­tions without a de­clar­a­tion of con­form­ity for a peri­od of no more than two years. In­stall­a­tions which at the end of this peri­od still lack a de­clar­a­tion of con­form­ity in their ex­ist­ing form must be taken out of ser­vice.
