¹ If an in­di­vidu­al planned in­stall­a­tion is ex­pec­ted to cause ex­cess­ive am­bi­ent air pol­lu­tion levels even though the pre­vent­ive emis­sion lim­it­a­tion re­quire­ments are met, the au­thor­it­ies shall or­der ad­di­tion­al or stricter emis­sion lim­it­a­tion re­quire­ments for the in­stall­a­tion con­cerned.

² The emis­sion lim­it­a­tion re­quire­ments are to be sup­ple­men­ted or tightened to such an ex­tent that no ex­cess­ive am­bi­ent air pol­lu­tion levels are caused.
