¹ The Fed­er­al Coun­cil shall ap­point the Ag­ri­cul­tur­al Re­search Stand­ing Com­mit­tee, com­pris­ing a max­im­um of 15 mem­bers. In­ter­ested parties, in par­tic­u­lar pro­du­cers, con­sumers and sci­ent­ists, must be pro­por­tion­ally rep­res­en­ted on the Re­search Com­mit­tee.¹⁷⁶

² The Re­search Com­mit­tee shall provide the FO­AG with re­com­mend­a­tions on ag­ri­cul­tur­al re­search, in par­tic­u­lar for its long-term plan­ning.
