Federal Act on the Protection of Trade Marks and Indications of SourceEnglish is not an official language of the Swiss Confederation.This translation is provided for information purposes only and has no legal force.1The applicant of a guarantee or collective mark must file regulations governing the use of the mark with the IPI1. 2The regulations for guarantee marks shall designate the common characteristics of the goods or services which the mark is intended to guarantee; they shall also provide for an effective control of the use of the mark and for appropriate sanctions. 3The regulations for collective marks shall designate those undertakings that are entitled to use the mark. 4The regulations may not be contrary to public policy, morality or applicable law. 1 Term in accordance with No I of the FA of 21 June 2013, in force since 1 Jan. 2017 (AS 2015 3631; BBl 2009 8533).
