Art. 20
1 The Federal Council may completely or partially prohibit the picking, digging up, uprooting, removal, offering for sale, sale, purchase or destruction of rare plants. It may likewise take appropriate measures to protect animal species that are at risk or otherwise deserve to be protected.62 2 The cantons may issue such prohibitions for additional species. 3 For the purposes of species protection, the Federal Council may also impose conditions on, restrict or prohibit the production, placing on the market, import, export and transit of plants or plant products.63 62Amended by Annex No 2 of the Gene Technology Act of 21 March 2003, in force since 1 Jan. 2004 (AS 2003 4803; BBl 2000 2391). 63Inserted by No I of the FA of 21 June 1996, in force since 1 July 1997 (AS 1997 1152; BBl 1995 IV 629). |
