Art. 5 Determination of the subsidy 19

1 The amount of fin­an­cial as­sist­ance is de­term­ined by:

a.
the na­tion­al, re­gion­al or loc­al im­port­ance of the sites to be pro­tec­ted;
b.
the ex­tent, qual­ity and com­plex­ity of the meas­ures;
c.
the level of threat to the sites to be pro­tec­ted;
d.
the qual­ity in which the ser­vices are to be provided.

2 The amount of glob­al fin­an­cial as­sist­ance shall be ne­go­ti­ated between the FOEN, the FOC or FEDRO and the can­ton con­cerned.

3 In the fields of monu­ment pre­ser­va­tion, ar­chae­ology, pro­tec­tion of sites of loc­al char­ac­ter and pro­tec­tion of his­tor­ic traffic routes, the fin­an­cial as­sist­ance may also be cal­cu­lated on the basis of the fol­low­ing max­im­um sub­sidies in per cent of the ex­pendit­ure eli­gible for sub­sidy:

a.
25 per cent for sites of na­tion­al im­port­ance;
b.
20 per cent for sites of re­gion­al im­port­ance;
c.
15 per cent for sites of loc­al im­port­ance.

4 By way of ex­cep­tion, the per­cent­age in para­graph 3 may be in­creased to a max­im­um of 45 per cent if it is proven that es­sen­tial meas­ures can­not be fin­anced oth­er­wise.
