4. Busi­ness Iden­ti­fic­a­tion num­ber

 

1Sole pro­pri­et­or­ships, gen­er­al part­ner­ships and part­ner­ships lim­ited by shares, com­pan­ies, co­oper­at­ives, as­so­ci­ations, found­a­tions and pub­lic sec­tor in­sti­tu­tions entered in the com­mer­cial re­gister are each giv­en an iden­ti­fic­a­tion num­ber in ac­cord­ance with the Fed­er­al Act of 18 June 20102 on the Busi­ness Iden­ti­fic­a­tion Num­ber.

2This iden­ti­fic­a­tion num­ber re­mains un­changed throughout the en­tity's ex­ist­ence and, in par­tic­u­lar, is not af­fected by any re­lo­ca­tion of the en­tity's seat, re­or­gan­isa­tion of the en­tity or change of name.

3The Fed­er­al Coun­cil en­acts im­ple­ment­ing pro­vi­sions. It may provide that the iden­ti­fic­a­tion num­ber be in­dic­ated in ad­di­tion to the busi­ness name on let­ters, or­der forms and in­voices.
