¹ Un­less oth­er­wise agreed in writ­ing, a com­mer­cial trav­el­ler only has au­thor­ity to broker trans­ac­tions.

² Where the com­mer­cial trav­el­ler is au­thor­ised to con­clude trans­ac­tions, his powers ex­tend to all leg­al pro­ced­ures nor­mally as­so­ci­ated with their ex­e­cu­tion; however, without spe­cial au­thor­ity he may not take re­ceipt of pay­ments from cli­ents nor ap­prove pay­ment peri­ods.
