¹ The Fed­er­al Coun­cil shall hold gen­er­al elec­tions for each new term of of­fice of the ex­tra-par­lia­ment­ary com­mis­sions.

² The Fed­er­al Chan­cellery shall co­ordin­ate the gen­er­al elec­tions. It shall is­sue the cor­res­pond­ing dir­ect­ives for this pur­pose and shall make them known to the Fed­er­al As­sembly con­trol com­mit­tees.

³ After the gen­er­al elec­tions, the Fed­er­al Chan­cellery shall sub­mit a re­port to the Fed­er­al Coun­cil on the com­pos­i­tion of the ex­tra-par­lia­ment­ary com­mis­sions for the at­ten­tion of the Fed­er­al As­sembly.
