¹ Con­trolling is a man­age­ment in­stru­ment for the pro­cess-re­lated mon­it­or­ing of the achieve­ment of ob­ject­ives at all levels.

² The Fed­er­al Coun­cil shall be sup­por­ted in its con­trolling by the Fed­er­al Chan­cellery and the Fed­er­al De­part­ment of Fin­ance. They shall work with the de­part­ments.

³ The de­part­ments are re­spons­ible for con­trolling in their area. They shall co­ordin­ate their con­trolling with the Fed­er­al Coun­cil's con­trolling.
