Art. 241
Falsification of money 1Any person who alters coins, paper money or bank notes in order to pass these off at a value higher than their true value is liable to a custodial sentence of at least six months and no more than five years.1 2In particularly minor cases, the penalty is a custodial sentence not exceeding three years or a monetary penalty. 1 Penalties revised by No II 1 of the FA of 19 June 2015 (Amendment to the Law on Criminal Sanctions), in force since 1 Jan. 2018 (AS 2016 1249; BBl 2012 4721). |
