Art. 306Duties of the police
1 The police shall in the course of their enquiries establish the facts relevant to an offence on the basis of reports, instructions from the public prosecutor or their findings.
2 They must in particular:
a.
secure and evaluate forensic and other evidence;
b.
identify and interview persons suffering harm and suspects;
c.
if necessary, stop and arrest or attempt to trace suspects.
3 Their activities are governed by the regulations on investigations, evidence and compulsory measures, subject to the special provisions of this Code.
