¹ In the case of po­lice ex­am­in­a­tion hear­ings, the ac­cused has the right for his or her de­fence law­yer to be present and al­lowed to ask ques­tions.

² In the case of po­lice ex­am­in­a­tion hear­ings of a per­son who has been ar­res­ted, the per­son also is en­titled to com­mu­nic­ate freely with his or her de­fence law­yer.

³ The ex­am­in­a­tion hear­ing may not be post­poned to al­low time for the fore­go­ing rights to be ex­er­cised.
