1 An examination of a person includes an examination of their physical or mental condition.
2 The accused may be questioned in order to:
a.
establish the facts of the case;
b.
establish whether the he or she had the mental capacity to be held criminally liable, is fit to plead and to withstand detention.
3 Interventions in the physical integrity of the accused may be ordered provided they do not cause particular pain or any risk to health.
4 Examinations and interventions in the physical integrity of persons other than the accused are only permitted without consent if they are essential in order to properly investigate an offence under Articles 111–113, 122, 124, 140, 184, 185, 187, 189, 190 or 191 SCC73.74
