¹ Mu­tu­al as­sist­ance is provided free of charge.

² The Con­fed­er­a­tion shall re­im­burse the can­tons the costs of sup­port as defined in Art­icle 45 that it has caused them to in­cur.

³ No­tice shall be giv­en to the re­quest­ing can­ton or the Con­fed­er­a­tion of any costs that have aris­en in or­der that they may be charged to the parties li­able to pay costs.

⁴ The re­quest­ing can­ton or the Con­fed­er­a­tion shall bear any ob­lig­a­tions to pay com­pens­a­tion arising from mu­tu­al as­sist­ance meas­ures.
