Art. 94Marking
1 Sealed radioactive sources and their containers must be marked in such a way as to permit identification of the source at any time.
2 The manufacturer or supplier of a high-activity sealed source as defined in Article 96 must ensure that it can be identified by a unique number. This number must be engraved or stamped on the source and on the source container.
3 The radionuclide, activity, date of manufacture and measurement, and if appropriate the classification according to ISO 291934, must be immediately apparent or ascertainable from the marking.
4 The supervisory authority may grant exemptions from paragraphs 1–3 if marking is not practicable or if reusable source containers are used.
