An­im­al ex­per­i­ments which in­flict pain, suf­fer­ing or harm on an­im­als, in­duce anxi­ety in them, sub­stan­tially im­pair their gen­er­al well-be­ing or which may dis­reg­ard their dig­nity in any oth­er way must be lim­ited to the in­dis­pens­able min­im­um.
