(Environmental Protection Act, EPA)

The Fed­er­al Coun­cil shall take meas­ures, in par­tic­u­lar by im­pos­ing an ob­lig­a­tion to des­ig­nate a rep­res­ent­at­ive in Switzer­land, to en­sure that for­eign on­line re­tail com­pan­ies ful­fil their ob­lig­a­tions to pay charges. In do­ing so, it shall take Switzer­land’s in­ter­na­tion­al ob­lig­a­tions in­to ac­count.
