on the Surveillance of Post and Telecommunications
(SPTO)

The fol­low­ing types of sur­veil­lance may be ordered for a miss­ing per­son search in ac­cord­ance with Art­icle 35 SPTA:

a.

Type EP_35_PA­GING: de­term­in­ing the most re­cent activ­ity de­tec­ted by the mo­bile tele­phony pro­vider (net­work ac­cess ser­vices and tele­phony and mul­ti­me­dia ser­vices) of the mo­bile ter­min­al device be­long­ing to the miss­ing per­son or a third party and pro­vi­sion of the MS­ISDN, the IM­SI, the IMEI (if avail­able), the type of mo­bile com­mu­nic­a­tions tech­no­logy, the fre­quency band, the unique iden­ti­fi­er of the mo­bile net­work, the date and the time of the most re­cent activ­ity de­tec­ted as well as any one of the fol­low­ing de­tails re­quired to de­term­ine the loc­a­tion:

1.

in­form­a­tion about the cell used: the iden­ti­fi­er or a com­bin­a­tion of iden­ti­fi­ers (e.g. CGI, ECGI, SAI, RAI, TAI), the postal ad­dress, the main dir­ec­tion of emis­sion or, in the case of com­plex cells, the main dir­ec­tions of emis­sion and the type of cell, the geo­graph­ic­al co­ordin­ates,

2.

the postal ad­dress and the de­tails of the po­s­i­tion of the ter­min­al device de­term­ined by the net­work dur­ing its most re­cent activ­ity, for ex­ample in the form of geo­graph­ic­al co­ordin­ates and the re­lated un­cer­tainty value or in the form of a poly­gon to­geth­er with de­tails of the geo­graph­ic­al co­ordin­ates of each poly­gon point, or

the postal ad­dress and oth­er stand­ard­ised de­tails de­term­ined by the net­work of the po­s­i­tion of the ter­min­al device dur­ing its most re­cent activ­ity or of the loc­a­tion of the cell used;

b.

Type EP_36_RT_C­C_IRI (real-time sur­veil­lance of con­tent and sec­ond­ary tele­com­mu­nic­a­tions data): the com­bin­a­tion of types of sur­veil­lance in ac­cord­ance with Art­icle 55 (net­work ac­cess ser­vices) and in ac­cord­ance with Art­icle 57 (tele­phony and mul­ti­me­dia ser­vices);

c.

Type EP_37_RT_IRI (real-time sur­veil­lance of sec­ond­ary tele­com­mu­nic­a­tions data): the com­bin­a­tion of types of sur­veil­lance in ac­cord­ance with Art­icle 54 (net­work ac­cess ser­vices) and in ac­cord­ance with Art­icle 56 (tele­phony and mul­ti­me­dia ser­vices);

d.

Type EP_38_HD (ret­ro­act­ive sur­veil­lance of sec­ond­ary tele­com­mu­nic­a­tions data): the com­bin­a­tion of types of sur­veil­lance in ac­cord­ance with Art­icle 60 (net­work ac­cess ser­vices) and in ac­cord­ance with Art­icle 61 (tele­phony and mul­ti­me­dia ser­vices).
