Ordinance
on the Surveillance of Post and Telecommunications
(SPTO)

The or­der­ing au­thor­ity and the ap­prov­al au­thor­ity shall trans­mit sur­veil­lance or­ders and or­ders for their ex­ten­sion or ter­min­a­tion, ap­provals and the ac­cess rights to be es­tab­lished to the PTSS as fol­lows:

a.

by means of a se­cure means of trans­mis­sion au­thor­ised by the FD­JP;

b.

by let­ter, if the means of trans­mis­sion in ac­cord­ance with let­ter a is un­avail­able for tech­nic­al reas­ons; or

c.

by tele­phone in ur­gent cases, provided the sur­veil­lance or­der is sub­mit­ted in ac­cord­ance with let­ter a or b with­in 24 hours.
