(Swiss Abroad Ordinance, SAO)

(Art. 27 SAA)

¹ One-off be­ne­fits are paid ac­cord­ing to the com­mit­ment to cov­er costs.

² Re­cur­ring be­ne­fits are paid in­to an ac­count or paid out in cash on a monthly basis. The pay­ment is made in the cur­rency of the re­ceiv­ing state.

³ To en­sure the be­ne­fits are used ap­pro­pri­ately by the eli­gible per­son, they may be paid to a third party.

⁴ If ap­pro­pri­ate, vouch­ers for the pur­chase of spe­cif­ic items may be is­sued, or pay­ments made dir­ectly to third parties.

⁵ Ad­min­is­trat­ive costs may not be set off against be­ne­fits.
