Art. 62 Rejection of applications

1 An ap­plic­a­tion shall be re­jec­ted if the ap­plic­ant can deal with their emer­gency situ­ation in a timely man­ner on their own and with their own re­sources, with fin­an­cial as­sist­ance from private or pub­lic sources, with in­sur­ance be­ne­fits or with as­sist­ance from the re­ceiv­ing state.

2 Fur­ther­more, an ap­plic­a­tions may be re­jec­ted if the ap­plic­ant:

a.
has failed to pay back a pre­vi­ously gran­ted emer­gency loan; or
b.
has ser­i­ously dam­aged Swiss pub­lic in­terests.
