(Art. 13 paras. 2 and 3 ArchA)

¹ The rul­ing au­thor­ity may make its au­thor­isa­tion to con­sult dur­ing the re­ten­tion peri­ods sub­ject to re­quire­ments and con­di­tions. It may in par­tic­u­lar re­quire that cer­tain parts of the file are not as­sessed, or that data be rendered an­onym­ous.

² The Fed­er­al Archives may re­quire a writ­ten de­clar­a­tion from the per­son con­sult­ing the file that he or she is aware of the re­quire­ments and con­di­tions.

³ In spe­cial cases the au­thor­ity may re­quire the text to be sub­mit­ted to it be­fore pub­lic­a­tion.
