(Weapons Act, WA)

¹ A gen­er­al per­mit may be is­sued to for­eign air­lines to per­form se­cur­ity du­ties on the ter­rit­ory of Swiss air­ports.

² A gen­er­al per­mit may be is­sued to the for­eign au­thor­ity re­spons­ible for avi­ation se­cur­ity to avert crim­in­al acts and pro­tect air pas­sen­gers on board air­craft.

³ A gen­er­al per­mit may only be is­sued if the for­eign au­thor­ity or for­eign air­line guar­an­tees that any per­son who car­ries out a func­tion in ac­cord­ance with para­graphs 1 or 2:

a.

is au­thor­ised to carry a weapon un­der the law of the for­eign state con­cerned; and

b.

has ad­equate train­ing.

⁴ The gen­er­al per­mit reg­u­lates the places of de­ploy­ment, the type of weapons, co-op­er­a­tion with the loc­al au­thor­it­ies and the scope of se­cur­ity du­ties.
