Art. 307

C. Child pro­tec­tion

I. Ap­pro­pri­ate meas­ures

 

1If the child’s best in­terests are threatened and the par­ents are un­will­ing or un­able to rem­edy the situ­ation, the child pro­tec­tion au­thor­ity must take all ap­pro­pri­ate meas­ures to pro­tect the child.

2The child pro­tec­tion au­thor­ity has the same duty with re­gard to chil­dren placed with foster par­ents or oth­er­wise liv­ing out­side the fam­ily home.

3In par­tic­u­lar it is en­titled to re­mind par­ents, foster par­ents or the child of their du­ties, is­sue spe­cif­ic in­struc­tions re­gard­ing care, up­bring­ing or edu­ca­tion and ap­point a suit­able per­son or agency with powers to in­vest­ig­ate and mon­it­or the situ­ation.
