Art. 20c Supply of means of access and activation of services for police authorities and the FIS 27

1 The PTSS shall at the re­quest of the fed­er­al or can­ton­al po­lice au­thor­it­ies or of the FIS ar­range for a con­tract to be con­cluded between a TSP and the au­thor­ity on the sup­ply­ing the means of ac­cess and ac­tiv­at­ing the ser­vices. The con­tract shall provide that the in­form­a­tion in ac­cord­ance with Art­icle 20b is only ac­cess­ible to a par­tic­u­larly small group of trust­worthy per­sons. The TSP shall de­cide in con­sulta­tion with the PTSS on the meth­ods by which fur­ther dis­clos­ure of the data can be pre­ven­ted.

2 The PTSS shall veri­fy the iden­tity of the per­sons who are en­titled to ob­tain means of ac­cess and ser­vices on be­half of the au­thor­it­ies, and shall pass on the in­form­a­tion re­quired to sup­ply this means of ac­cess and to ac­tiv­ate these ser­vices to the TSP. The TSP shall doc­u­ment the means of ac­cess sup­plied to and the ser­vices ac­tiv­ated for the au­thor­it­ies in­tern­ally.

3 The means of ac­cess and ser­vices in ac­cord­ance with this Art­icle may only be used with­in the scope of the law ap­plic­able to the au­thor­ity con­cerned.
