Art. 53 Access to the installations

1 The per­sons or en­tit­ies re­quired to co­oper­ate that must al­low the PTSS or the third parties that it in­structs ac­cess to its in­stall­a­tions shall al­low the PTSS ac­cess to build­ings, devices, lines, sys­tems, net­works and ser­vices to the ex­tent re­quired for sur­veil­lance.

2 They shall make ex­ist­ing means of net­work ac­cess to pub­lic tele­com­mu­nic­a­tions net­works avail­able free of charge. In con­sulta­tion with the PTSS or the third parties that it in­structs they shall provide new means of net­work ac­cess at the ex­pense of the PTSS to the ex­tent that this is re­quired for sur­veil­lance.
